Alex Rins: Our Fans, Our Sponsors
Alex Rins Navarro (born 8 December 1995) is a Spanish professional motorcycle racer who competes in the MotoGP™ World Championship riding for the LCR Honda Castrol team. In 2011, he won the CEV Buckler 125 Junior GP Championship and made his Grand Prix debut at the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix.
Rins began his career in Moto3 with the Estrella Galicia team. In his second season, he took pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix. He took his first podium in France, with third place. He scored no further podiums but was very consistent throughout the remainder of the season, regularly finishing in the top ten. He finished fifth in the final standings and became Rookie of the Year. He continued racing for Estrella Galicia alongside Álex Márquez in 2013, which would prove to be a breakthrough year for both riders—Maverick Viñales, Luis Salom and Rins dominated the season (with Viñales scoring 6 wins, 14 podiums and 8 poles) and were in contention for the title throughout most races—but Rins finished second by 12 points to Viñales after scoring 2 wins, 8 podiums and 4 poles less than Viñales.
